Mike Peakman - 3rd Dan

S.W.I.K.O. Secretary, Senior Instructor and Central Dojo Club Instructor

Mike is The South West Central Dojo’s Senior Student

Mike started his training in 1973 with Sensei Bob Davies (TKC, K.U.G.B.) after seeing "Bruce Lee" in "Enter The Dragon" (didn't most of the senior karateka). Here he took the opportunity of grading with many of the countries top Sensei including Sensei Tomita and Sensei Terry O Neil (7th Dan).

"During my teenage years and to my regret I gave up Karate :-(

But in the early 1980's, after an inspiring chance visit and seeing Sensei Dave Owen in action at his Central Dojo" I knew that I wanted to be back into karate"! :-)

After many years hard training Mike finally gained his Black Belt in 1991 from The F.S.K. Chief Instructor Sensei Aidan Trimble (7th Dan) and many years later :-) his Second Dan, followed 3 years later by his 3rd Dan from The S.W.I.K.O Chief Instructor Sensei Dave Owen (5th Dan)

He has trained with Dave for over 25 years and has gained respect as Senior student and regular instructor at the Central Dojo.

Mike teaches Central Dojo’s junior members and holds an Enhanced DBS and a current First Aid Certificate.

"Yes I call myself Master...but only The web Master for The South West Independent Karate Organisation”. Oss!
